Backups of Facilis Terrablock volume under Windows

PLEASE NOTE: The following only applies to Windows based P5 servers.|
When backing up Facilis Terrablock volumes using a Windows based P5 server, incremental backup jobs may save the same files over and over again. The reason for that is that Windows may assign the same device ID to different Facilis Terrablock volumes mounted on the P5 server (e.g. '/Y', '/T', '/Z').
In order to avoid this becoming an issue, you'll need to disable the device ID check by editing file 'config/lexxsrv.8000' as follows:
- Stop P5
- Edit file 'config/lexxrv.8000' inside your P5 installation folder and add the following two lines:
ns_param crossFilesystemBoundary true
(If backing up from a remote P5 client, replace 'localhost' with the P5 name of the client the Terrablock volumes are mounted on.)
- Save the modified file and close it.
- Restart P5
P5 will now ignore the device ID and only use the filesystem path to determine which files/folders need to be backed up.
