HOW TO reset the admin password in P5 version 6

On the P5 server, go into the 'config/customerconfig' subfolder of your P5 install folder. Depending on the platform you're running P5 on, this could under '/usr/local/aw/' (Mac/Linux/FreeBSD/Solaris9, 'C:\Program Files\Archiware\Data_..._Suite\ (Windows), '/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/ArchiwareP5/' (QNAP), '/volume1/@appstore/ArchiwareP5' (Synology)...

Create a new file named 'resetadminpassword'. The file's content doesn't matter. It can even be empty. All that matters is its name.

Stop and restart P5.

Done.

Your 'admin' password has been reset to 'admin'.
