This articles describes which preconditions must be met in order to get previews in archives on Mac OS X and on Helios volumes. One precondition is that a layout image already exists. PresSTORE does not regard the original image (as this may be a very time consuming way) but the layout image instead. The layout image is accessed via the ImageServer. PresSTORE tries to create a preview using the Helios layout utility. In case this fails, PresSTORE attempts to use QuickTime to create previews. | |
